Trinity Site - July 16th 1945

Regardless of your views, one has to admit our world changed on July 16th 1945. The first atomic device was detonated at Trinity Site at the White Sands range in New Mexico. Twice a year they open the historical site to the public and this year Nikon and I were able to go. This is a trip that one should make, and were very surprised to see how many people actually made the trip. We seen plates from so many states not to mention so many people that made the trip in buses. Here are some photos that Nikon took for you to get a taste of the site. We hope you enjoy them

Our Trinity Road Trip

These are some of the other sites that we stopped to take photos of on our trip to the Tinity Site. Magdalena is one place Nikon "grew up" (hummm spent her youth).

Carlsbad Horsemen's Association Western Show

Nikon and I had a great time taking photos of the Carlsbad Horsemen's Association Western Show at the Sheriff's Posse Rodeo grounds Saturday. Now as usual we tend to take a lot of photos, and this was no exception. Setting high in the stands I got a bit carried away and took 1565 photos. Even after trimming them down a bit I still am left with a total for both cameras at 1876.

Rockin The Lot 2009

Nikon and I had a lot of fun at the "Rockin The Lot 09" concert at Aaron's Rent to Own. A very worthy concert benefiting Habitat for Humanity. Rockin the crowd were "Rain", "KryoBurn", "Last Child", "Serum", and "Blood Red Summer". Now as usual Nikon got wired taking photos, 2047 to be exact, and as usual I am going through them as fast as I can. This time the photos will be downloadable. Just select the photo you would like and right click and "save as" to your computer.
