Change is a good thing

So a New Year is well under way and with that comes change.  Desert Photos has done, over the last few months, some serious soul searching so to speak.  We have decided that we are going to revamp the page.  A little pre spring cleaning if you will.
We have had a number of people inform us that the Forum type site that we went to for Desert Photos could at times be confusing.  They knew what they were looking for but could not find it quickly.  I will say that if we had the software that we have now, Drupal, we would not have gone with the forum type site.
We are going to still break things up.  If it is an event it will be on the events page.  If it is landscapes it will be on a landscapes page and the Animals will be on the wildlife page.  I know this sounds simple but I have had people come to me and ask where the photos of the park in winter are.  I said on the landscapes page and their answer is “ not with the Christmas on the Pecos pictures?” Let me answer this now.  If it is an event it will be under events, and just for the record Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall are not events.
This is the layout of the new site.  Want to see Community Events, go to the community events page and there you will get a list in alphabetical order of the events that are covered.  Click any one of these links to see the photos and video, if any was taken, of that event.  Depending on how many photos were taken and if there is video this may open a new page in your browser.
This should make it easier to find what you are looking for.  We hope that you continue to come and visit us and share our Great Desert and community with us.  Until next time, and remember if you see us with the cameras… make sure and smile there is always the chance your face will be seen here.

Notice
I put a notice on the present events forum with the links to the new pages. If you have the community events forum bookmarked please update your favorites. I will leave the forum up for now, but in a month or when I see no more traffic on that section, I will disable it and reuse the software in another forum. Thank you.
