We see them in their trucks as they race along with the sirens blaring and red lights flashing.
We hope they are safe and save those they are going to help and then thoughts
are replaced with what we have to do in our own lives
But once and awhile someone will ask "What do they do when there is no
emergency?"
The truth is they are all around us. We do not notice because there is
no flashing lights. They are your neighbors, they are the guy at the next
table in your favorite restaurant, and they are all over town.
There are events in the community and these guys are there. From the
Ducky A Fair and the Chili Cook Off. From the Schools and the Health Fairs.
They give us a safe 4th of July, and watch over us as we play at the beach.
.
Chances are if you are at an event and you look around, you will see a Fire Truck or
an Ambulance. If you look closely you will see the guys either sitting quietly or
talking with the people of the community. All the time waiting and hoping
they are not needed. But if they are you can be assured they will respond
with the strength, commitment and a calming personalities that make the Fireman one of the
greatest unsung heroes of our time.
We at Desert Photos are honored to be able to
capture these fine and caring Firemen as they contribute to the community they call home.
Come take a look at what they do for you.
It's a beautiful summer day and the weatherman is predicting 112. The firemen gather their gear and prepare for a hot day at the fireman's challenge. They are about to raise the flag when Chief Mike Reynolds Looks towards the top of the Ladder and sees the vulture, wondering if this is a bad omen. (click image to enlarge)
