In a time when it seems everyone is only interested in what the world holds for them you come across a group of unsung heroes. In black leather and blue jeans, astride Harleys, they arrive. With them comes 1200 lbs of food for the Carlsbad Community kitchen.
The Brotherhood of the 74 held their 2nd Annual food drive on Saturday Oct 16th. There were bins and boxes placed at locations all around Carlsbad and the brothers spent their time collecting and replacing those boxes. Thank you Carlsbad. The food drive itself ended at the Brotherhood clubhouse with a Celebration for the success of the event.
Today Oct 23rd was delivery day. At noon a number of bikes, a truck and trailer and helpful hands showed up at the Carlsbad Community Kitchen on Alameda Street to help unload the bounty. Photos
